All smiles back with winter warmth turning tanker owners cosy. Last week of November did the trick and we saw Santa Claus riding on his sleigh. Within few days, per metric freight rates tripled, hiking daily wages for tankers manifolds.

This reverse swing was initiated by VLCC's, which soon caught up with the smaller sizes. Though Afra segment looks still weak, we can sincerely wish a merry Christmas and a happy new year to all ship owners without being hypocrite.
